MMC benefits

Welcome to South Africa’s first portal for media about Medical Male Circumcision.

There have been encouraging advances in combatting HIV in South Africa; yet the number of new HIV infections is once again on the increase. The upscaling of MMC for HIV prevention, in combination with other prevention approaches, represents a massive opportunity to reduce the number of new HIV infections amongst our people.

We invite you, the journalist, to stay in touch with us here at where you will be able to access up-to-date information about MMC as well as links to other sites with useful MMC-related resources. If you have specific MMC-related questions or issues you would like to pursue, we will do our best to put you in contact with a qualified expert (simply visit our Contacts page, send us some details, and we will get back to you promptly).

Thank you for your time and interest. We look forward to working with you towards an AIDS-free generation!
